COMPATIBILITY ISSUES
====================
DiskDoubler/AutoDoubler
----------------------
Before checking files that have been compressed with DiskDoubler/AutoDoubler, CP Anti-Virus decompresses the files. Therefore, checking compressed files for viruses may take longer than checking files that are not compressed.
SoundMaster
-------------
If you use SoundMaster, make sure it is the most current version (1.7.3 or newer). You may still experience problems with SoundMaster, especially when using sounds that require a large amount of RAM. If you have less than 3 MB of RAM, change SoundMaster's name so it loads after all other Control Panels.
Scroll2
--------
Scroll2 randomly moves the displayed location of the scroll bar arrows in the CP Anti-Virus Control Panel Help window. To scroll the window, click where the scroll bar arrows would have been.
INSTALLING MACTOOLS ANTI-VIRUS
===============================
Drag the folder named Central Point Anti-Virus to your hard disk. Drag the CP Anti-Virus Control Panel to your System Folder.
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR TIPS
==========================
The default settings in the CP Anti-Virus Control Panel provide the minimum amount of virus protection. Select additional options to suit your needs.
Appleshare
----------
If you are using System 6.x, Appleshare must load first in order to update virus signatures from the network. To load Appleshare first, insert a space before the name of the Appleshare extension or use an extension manager.
MEMORY
=======
CP Anti-Virus is set to a default Suggested and Current memory size of 1024K. You can decrease or increase its Current memory size, depending on the available RAM and your specific needs. As a guide, the following list provides approximate memory sizing information.
CP Anti-Virus Application
------------------------
768K to Detect & Clean 4,000 files
1152K to Detect & Clean 6,000 files
1536K to Detect & Clean 8,000 files
1920K to Detect & Clean 10,000 files
3-D DISPLAY
===========
If you use a black-and-white and a color monitor simultaneously, 3-D Display is only available when the front window is on a monitor set for 256 colors or shades of gray.
CP ANTI-VIRUS REPORT
====================
Viewing the Report
---------------
To view the report created by the CP Anti-Virus application, launch the application and choose Show Report from the File menu.
Printing the Report
---------------
To print the report, show the report and then choose Print Report from the File menu.
